While crossover SUVs are a dime a dozen these days, there’s few that follow through on everything a crossover should have. The Chevy Equinox is one of those few vehicles. With plenty of space on the inside for passengers and cargo, a good dose of modern technology, and the classic reliability of a Chevy, the Equinox is up for all of life’s adventures big and small. From errands around Lebanon to a road trip into the mountains, the Chevy Equinox is here for it all.
If you’re ready to see for yourself just how great the Chevy Equinox is, come see it in-person at Wilson County Chevrolet Buick GMC. Our team members are experts about all-things Chevrolet, and would be glad to help you explore the various trim levels available for the Equinox. They can also set you up with a test drive so that you can truly experience the Equinox for yourself.
The Chevrolet Equinox was completely redesigned for the 2018 model year, and Chevy has worked hard to refresh and update the Equinox each year since then. For the 2021 model year, you’ll find all of these exciting updates rolled into one amazing SUV. In the last few years, Chevy has updated their driver assistance offerings to include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection. They have also added wireless device charging as an option in upper trim levels so that you can keep your charge up while you’re on the road.
The Chevy Equinox offers the easy to use Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen, a Wi-Fi Hotspot, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto as standard features. Those who want to take their in-car listening experience to the next level can opt for the Bose® sound system in their Equinox. The standard safety assist features in the Equinox include a rearview camera, a following-distance indicator, and a rear-seat reminder that helps you remember to check the back seat for anything you put in the car as you exit the SUV.
The Chevy Equinox has seats for up to five people, and the roomy cabin offers a generous amount of headroom and legroom in both rows. Two full sets of LATCH tethers mean that little ones are welcome to tag along safely. Chevy took great care to give the Equinox an upscale, modern style with all of the amenities you could hope for including available leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a sunroof. As spacious as the Equinox is for any people on board, it’s equally as roomy for your cargo. You’ll have a generous 29 cubic-feet behind the second row and 63.9 cubic-feet with the rear seats folded down.
The Chevy Equinox debuted in the 2004 model year when SUVs were already immensely popular and were gaining more traction by the day. Crossover vehicles have become so popular because they offer a near-perfect balance of what American drivers want from their vehicles: function, efficiency, style, and capability. Though the SUV market was already hot in 2004, the Chevy Equinox quickly established itself as a leader of the pack by ticking all of the boxes and adding in the power and durability Chevy is known for. The Equinox was Chevy’s first foray into the crossover market, and it has since led the way to the other Chevy SUVs that have been released over the past decade.
After a six year run of the first generation, the Chevy Equinox was completely redesigned for the 2010 model year to include more features, a refreshed style, and greater fuel efficiency. Eight years after that, the Equinox was again redesigned for the 2018 model year, and every aspect of this popular SUV was improved upon. Through two redesigns and many updates, the Chevy Equinox has remained a front-runner in the compact SUV class, and is expected to stay there for a long time to come.
